Русский: Неизвестный художник. Портрет И.И.Панаева / Коллекция Подстаницких

Иван Иванович Панаев (1753-1796) – дворянин, находился на военной службе (с 1775 адъютант П.Румянцева, в 1777-1780 – адъютант Я.Брюса, участник польской кампании). Писатель и перводчик, близкий друг Н.Новикова и Н.Карамзина. С 1781 – на гражданской службе в Перми и Казани. На время создания портрета – прокурор и директор народных училищ Пермской губернии (изображен в дворянском мундире Пермской губернии). Известно несколько копий, восходящих, по всей видимости, к данному оригиналу: живописные (Мемориальный музей-квартира Н.Некрасова, Петербург и частное собрание, Москва) и миниатюрная (И.Батлер, 1803 г., Государственный Русский музей).

Происхождение: аукцион Polgar (Будапешт) 8-10 декабря 2003 г. (лот № 60, как «Портрет неизвестного»).
