English: Jón Johannesen is a Faroese football coach and former football player. He was playing with TB Tvøroyri and he has also been coach for TB Tvøroyri 2002-2004, 2008 and 2010-2011. The mountain in the background of this photo is Gluggarnir, the highest mountain of the island Suðuroy. The photo was taken at the new stadium of TB Tvøroyri, when it opened on 29 April 2012. He was being interviewed by Niels Petersen to the TB Radio. They use to broadcast their matches through their website, not every match but nearly all the home matches. Jón is the older brother of Óli Johannesen, who is the most capped player on the Faroe Islands national football team with 83 matches. Jón Johannesen has himself been capped for two matches on the national team of the Faroe Islands, that was in 1992 and 1993. |
