| Description |
Deutsch: LESt-Salonwagen Typ 15, gebaut 1900 als zweite Bauart dieses Unternehmens. Die Fensterteilung lang-kurz-lang war seinerzeit Mode, die Große Leipziger Straßenbahn beschaffte mit den Wagen des Typs 13 sehr ähnliche Fahrzeuge. Der Achsstand der LESt-Wagen war mit 2000 Millimetern schon 200 mm länger als der der GLST-Wagen mit »Union«-Laufgestellen. Die Druckluftbremse wurde in die LESt-Wagen erst nach der Vereinigung der beiden Betriebe eingebaut. Ihre Beibehaltung im Museumsbestand ist ein für den Betriebseinsatz ebenso notwendiger Kompromiss wie die Nutzung einer gemeinsamen Kupplungsbauart (mit Kuppeleisen mit rechteckigem Querschnitt nach LESt-Normen). |
