Deutsch: Typ 24, zehnfenstriger Außenbahntriebwagen mit Maximumdrehgestellen; gebaut 1908 bis 1909 von Falkenried in Hamburg, die Maximumdrehgestelle lieferte der langjährige Stmmlieferant Böker in Remscheid. Vorbild für den Typ 24 waren Triebwagen der Großen Berliner Straßenbahn. Die Maximumwagen waren die einzigen LAAG-Wagen mit eigener Nummernreihe, sie wurden 1930 mit der Nummernreihe 1378 bis 1397 in das städtische Nummernsystem einbezogen und mehrfach umgebaut. Die drastischste Änderung war der Umbau von elf Wagen 1942 und 1943 auf Lenkdreiachslaufwerke der Bauart Westwaggon Köln. Sie erhielten die Typenbezeichnung 24a. Der Wagen 20 erhielt die Nummer 1397, mit dem Umbau zum Lenkdreiachser 1943 die 1383II und bei seiner Ausmusterung als Personenwagen 1977 die Arbeitswagennummer 5097. Noch im selben Jahr wurde er endgültig abgestellt und bis 1988 in den Lieferzustand mit Maximumdrehgestellen zurückgebaut. Der Wagen steht am zweiten Öffnungstag des neuen Straßenbahnmuseums unter der Hallenschürze der Museumshalle I, er verkehrt am Öffnungstag mit Fahrgästen. |
