English: Full-length portrait of James Vincent Johnston at age 6 1/2 wearing a sailor suit, and standing next to a chair and a U.S. flag. "James Vincent Johnston aged 6 1/2" and "To be returned [?] to Loyal Legion" (written below image). "GUERIN" and "ST. LOUIS." (printed below image). "1864-1865, Uniform given to Johnston by crew of [illegible] O.S.S. Forest [illegible] after Johnston replaced the gunboat's [illegible], Dh 19 Nov 2007, [the rest is illegible]" (written on reverse side).
