[edit]DescriptionJanuary 2009 ISS tour.ogv |
English: A video tour of the International Space Station by NASA astronaut and Expedition 18 Commander Mike Fincke, following the departure of STS-126. In this video, Fincke gives a tour of the interior of the space station. He begins at the forward end of Node 2, examining PMA-2 and showing a view along the length of the station. He then moves into Kibō, showing the pressurised section, the module's airlock, a view out of the window at the Earth, solar arrays, and Kibō's robot arm, before moving up into the Experiment Logistics Module and back into Node 2. The next module on the tour is Columbus, before Fincke moves back through Node 2 and into the Destiny laboratory, followed by Node 1 and the Quest airlock. The tour then proceeds through PMA-1 and into the Russian segment, first visiting Zarya, then a docked Soyuz spacecraft, then moving into Pirs and the Progress spacecraft docked to it. Finally, Fincke moves into the Service Module, Zvezda, shows the Progress spacecraft docked to its aft end, and ends the tour with a view of the Burmese coastline out of one of Zvezda's windows. |
