Summary[edit]

Description
English: “These social networks should be called Behavior Modification Engines. They will be our undoing, and we must undo them to survive.”

“What started out as advertising really can’t be called advertising any more. It can only be called behavioral modification,” targeted and data-driven and manipulative — a “globally tragic, ridiculous mistake.”

“If we want our species to survive, we cannot have a society in which if two people wish to communicate the only way that can happen is if it’s financed by a third person who wishes to manipulate them.”
