Description

Jerome Barksdale. . Jerome Barksdale entered the U.S. Navy in May 1988. During his military career he was assigned to aviation, afloat and shore-based units in Mississippi, California, Pennsylvania, and Florida. While assigned to these units Barksdale made deployments and port visits to Cuba, the Caribbean, Denmark, Greece, France, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden. He retired from the Navy as a Personnelman First Class in June 2008.. . He reentered government service in February 2012 as the administrative assistant for the Service’s North Florida Ecological Services Office in Jacksonville.. . Barksdale’s professional awards and decorations include three (3) Navy Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, U.S. Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, U.S. Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation, Navy Battle “E” (Efficiency) Ribbon, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, two Armed Forces Reserve Medals, Expert Pistol Shot Medal, and the Expert Rifleman Medal. . .

Barksdale resides in Jacksonville, FL with wife Tonya.
