Joe Biden speaking at Union Depot in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: In the 1920's, as the VP said in his remarks today, Union Depot was one of the gems of the American rail system. Every day, 300 trains would pass through from nine different railroads. They carried 20,000 passengers and more than 20 million pieces of mail every day. Today, thanks to the help of a $35 million TIGER Grant, it's serving a new generation as a modern transportation hub with Amtrak, light rail, local and regional bus lines, car-sharing, and bicycle storage. It's also retained a lot of its historic details. A gorgeous station. -Don
