Description |
Magyar: Képes krónika (37.oldal) - István király születése Jobbra belátunk egy palota szobájába, melynek keresztboltozatát egy perspektivikusan helytelenül ábrázolt oszlop tartja. A szoba hátterében arannyal átszőtt függöny. Az előtérben félülő helyzetben Sarolt, István anyja, fején koronával, ölében a meztelen, glóriás fejű fiúcskával; jobbjával aranykoronát vesz át Szent István vértanútól. Jobbra a háttérben előkelő nők csoportja. A szobához balról csatlakozó csarnokban csoportokba verődve várakoznak férfiak és nők. English: Chronicon Pictum (Page 37) - Birth of King Stephen On the right, we can see into a room of a palace, in the background of the room is a curtain woven with gold. In the foreground, Sarolt, Stephen's mother holds the naked baby in her lap, the baby Stephen has a halo around his head. Sarolt has a crown on her head, she accepts a golden crown from the martyr Saint Stephen with her right hand. According to legend, the Saint Stephen prophesied to Sarolt that a son would be born who would become king. The illustrator obviously deliberately depicted the two scenes far apart in time in one picture. A group of noble women stand in the background on the right. On the left, in the hall connected to the room, men and women are waiting in groups. |
