KAARTEN SGD - Situatie IJsselmondse haven
Description
De haven van IJsselmonde was een toevluchtsoord voor vele schippers geworden, met het gevolg dat het water in ernstige mate was verontreinigd en daardoor minder geschikt was om te worden gebruikt door het gemeentelijk waterleidingbedrijf op het ten westen van de haven gelegen IJsselmondse Hoofd. Aangezien het Reglement van Politie voor de scheepvaart en vlotvaart op de Merwede, de Noord en de Nieuwe Maas geen mogelijkheden bood om tegen deze vervuiling op te treden, heeft het bestuur van de gemeente IJsselmonde verzocht dit water in beheer en onderhoud te mogen overnemen, zodat zij in haar politieverordening bepalingen zou kunnen opnemen waardoor de belangen van de drinkwatervoorziening konden worden beschermd
