Description
English: Full-length portrait of a man in uniform. "LT. K. F. Peddicord C. S. A." (written below image). "Western Penitentiary Prison [?] 1863 Yours Very Truly Lieut K. F. Peddicord" (written on reverse side) "K. F. Peddicord, Palmyra, Mo." (written vertically on reverse side). United Daughters of the Confederacy, Missouri Division stamp on reverse side. Lt. Peddicord was in companies C and B, 2nd Kentucky Cavalry as a 1st Sergt. and a 2nd Lt. He was also listed as a 2nd Lt. in the 14th Kentucky Cavalry (digital soldiers records). Western Penitentiary is a prison in Pittsburg that housed 118 of Morgan's raiders in 1863 (History of Pittsburg and Environs: New York and Chicago, 1922, p. 94).
