Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The contact between kinetochore and microtubules from the same pole, or between kinetochore of one sister chromatid and microtubules of different poles is unstable. There is no tension in the system and the contact breaks down. Once bi-orientation of kinetochore is achieved, the contact between kinetochore and microtubules becomes stable; joined sister chromatids migrate to the center of the cell.
Own work made for Biology week #3 and based on Bruce Alberts, Alexander Johnson, Julian Lewis, David Morgan, Martin Raff Keith Roberts, and Peter Walter (2014) (in English) (6th ed.), Garland Science, pp. 978−995 ISBN: 9780815344322. OCLC: 902708011.
