Deutsch: Bildunterschrift, S. 44: Kitaiska. Chinesische Pagoden. Niederlagen der russisch-asiatischen Bank.
Aus dem Text, S. 43-44: Der Großhandel von Nishnij-Nowgorod verteilt sich auf 31 lange Reihen oder Linien, in welchen sich die Lawkas (Niederlagen) befinden. Alle Linien laufen parallel zum Glawny Dom und zum Kitaisky Rjad (chinesische Reihen), als deren Mittelpunkt der Sabor (Kathedrale) hervorragt. [...] In Kitaisky Rjad mit den drei Pagoden haben neben den großen Banken, Persianer-, Zobel-, und Fehhändler ihre Niederlassungen. Doch sind auch altbekannte Seiden- und Teehändler, von denen ich nur die alte Firma Wogan & Co. erwähnen will, dort anzutreffen.
