Deutsch: Kormorane passen ihre Flughöhe und ihre Fluggeschwindigkeit so an, dass sie mit möglichst geringem Energieeinsatz möglichst weit fliegen können. [1]Eine Strategie ist es, bei Gegenwind dicht über der Wasseroberfläche zu fliegen, wo der Gegenwind geringer ist.[2]
Die Hintergrundgeräusche (z. B. Musik) bei den Meeresaufnahmen kommen von dem Seebäderschiff Harlingerland. Von dort kommen auch die Motorgeräusche. Die Hintergrundgeräusche bei der Aufnahme auf der Ems stammen von der ufernahen Autoverkerkehrsstraße von Meppen nach Lingen, am Westufer der Ems. Zu dem Flug auf der Ems sei angemerkt, dass der Kormoran entgegen der Theorie mit Rückwind flog. An dem herrschte ein zumindest für Radfahrer gut spürbarer Wind aus südlichen Richtungen. Der Kormoran aber flog der Ems abwärts folgend in nördlicher Richtung. Ein weiterer Beobachtungstipp für Urlauber an der Nordseeküste: mein Eindruck war es, dass auch Silbermöwen sehr knapp über der Wasseroberfläche fliegen, wenn sie gegen den Wind voran kommen wollen, aber höher, wenn sie mit dem Wind fliegen. Diese Beobachtung machte ich Hauptstrand der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge.
