Summary[edit]

Description
English: First half of the letter written to the Editor of the Sydney Evening News, in which Gerard Krefft presents an account of the events of Saturday, 4 July 1874, within which several internal aspects of the Museum premises were barricaded, by the Museum Trustees, such that Krefft, the Museum's Curator could not enter them; and, that, also, the front doors of the Museum were locked, completely denying public access to the premises as well. (The front doors remained locked, and the public was completely denied access to the premises until 23 September 1874 (eleven weeks later).
