Description

Kuehneromyces mutabilis (Schaeff.) Singer & A.H. Sm.

Image location: Swans Crossing State Forest, New South Wales, Australia

Golden brown slightly sticky cap fungi growing on underside of fallen log.

Recognized by sight: I have no idea if this species appears down there. But the shagginess of the stipe and cap don’t seem right, at least for G. marginata. I should take a look at the Galerina of Australia paper for more detail.
