Historisches Stadtmodell im Tauberfränkischen Landschaftsmuseum, durch eine Glasscheibe auch von außen sichtbar - seit 2003 beherbergt das Museum ein Modell von „Bischofsheim“ um die Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts - in äußerster Detailgenauigkeit von einer heimatverbundenen Arbeitsgruppe geschaffen - koloriertes Stadtmodell, vorwiegend aus Buchen- und Kirschenholz - zeigt im Maßstab 1:250 die Zwei-Tore-Stadt und ihre Besonderheiten, beispielsweise eine damals etwa 10 Meter hohe Ringmauer mit ihren etwa 20 Wachtürmen und Tortürmen mit Zwingern, das Schloss, in Fachwerkbauweise errichtete Häuser, Mühlen, Badehäuser, im Zentrum den großen rechteckigen Marktplatz - Stadtmodell gibt eine Vorstellung davon, wie Tauberbischofsheim um 1750 aussah, ehe die Befestigung nach und nach abgebrochen wurde - Ausstellungsraum enthält neben dem Stadtmodell eine Dokumentation zur Entstehung und Entwicklungsgeschichte von Tauberbischofsheim |
