| Description |
An emblem used by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation on promotional material and within, and as part of, their registered trade mark. LCC, a defunct company used many such images, based on Azure, plish shield ribboned argent, quartered, dexter Lancashire rose rouge, over cotton boll argent feuillé vert, sinister letters majoscule or bordered sable L over C over C. Crest fleur-de-lys argent.This was drawn in many ways, my version is taken from the description, and the result checked against two interpretations in LCC (1951) The mills and organisation of the Lancashire Cotton Corporation Limited, Blackfriars House, Manchester: Lancashire Cotton Corporation Limited . The LCC registered trade mark included another version of the emblem on white roundel with green border, and the text Lancashire Cotton Corporation Ltd, Manchester England. |
