A couple of French bindings provided with a similar coat-of-arms are reproduced in Catalogue of a collection of early French books, p. 935, n. 625 on text B. de Braydenbach & N. Le Huen, (L)e grant voyage de Herusalem, Paris(?), F. Regnault (the younger), 1522 and in La reliure ancienne et moderne, pl. 59. Dated cover (see C.18.a.1., C.24.e.25.). Bindings with Paris arms were tooled during the XVII th (Librairie Sourget, Chartres, Manuscrits enluminés et livres précieux. Catalogue XVII, Imprimerie, p. 243-245, n. 82 on text Claude Malingre, Antiquitez de la ville de Paris, Paris, P. Rocolet, 1640) and the XVIII th century (Librairie Sourget, Chartres, Manuscrits et livres précieux. De la Renaissance au cubisme, p. 296-297, n. 119 on Jean Chevillard, Armorial de la ville de Paris, Paris, J. Chevillard, towards 1735; Librairie Sourget, Chartres, Manuscrits enluminés et livres précieux 1476-1922. Catalogue XX, p. 162-163, n. 74 on Descriptions des festes données par la ville de Paris, à l'occasion du mariage de madame Louise Élisabeth de France, Paris, Le Mercier, 1740). Such covers were still adopted on French XVIII th century (Librairie Sourget, Chartres, Manuscrits enluminés et livres précieux. Catalogue XIII, p. 400, n. 174 on Fêtes données par la ville de Paris à l'occasion de Monseigneur le février 1745, Paris, 1745 in blue morocco; Librairie Sourget, Chartres, Livres précieux. Catalogue XXII, p. 178, n. 80, on Plan de Paris commencé l'année 1734, dessiné et gravé sur les ordres de Messire Michel Etienne Turgot, Marquis de Sousmons, Seigneur de St Germain sur Eaulne…achevé de graver en 1739.
