La statue d'Hanuman sur un piédestal de pierre et sous un parasol est située à l'entrée du palais royal (à droite, sur la photo) Cette statue d'Hanuman le dieu-singe, compagnon de Rama (avatar de Vishnou) dans le Ramayana date de 1672 (Pratap Malla). Elle est toujours vénérée comme le montre la photo. Le visage du dieu est recouvert d'une pâte orange déposée en offrande par les dévots qui le nourrisse symboliquement.
