Description
English: This is to guess the place of the photograph .......

The hermitage of Our Lady of Nazareth, built in stone and mud, is located just over a kilometer from the village on a high point where you can see the whole valley perfectly. Its location is perfect from the strategic point of view, which causes many to think that here the first town of the area developed. An area that has developed a legend that justifies its depopulation and is common for many towns in the Sierra Norte. This legend refers to the poison of a gecko which killed all the neighbors, because all, in a communal celebration, ate from the puchero where it fell.
The Virgin of Nazareth (12th-13th century), patroness of the municipality, is an interesting Romanesque image, replete with the symbolism of this style. Like the little spherical fruit that the Virgin offers with her right hand, which represents Redemption or the triumph of the new Eve over sin.

La Cañada Real, which came from Tamajón, crossed Montejo de la Sierra between the Hermitage of Nazareth and the Dehesa de Prádena. Since 2007, the "Las cañadas" are included in the preliminary list of Unesco, that is to say the first stage to any future candidature to World Heritage, such as: royal canyons (the cattle ways or drovers' roads of the Plateau)
