As part of the promotion for the Manor, a demonstration farm was built to show the possibilities of the community. The demonstration farm illustrated how to raise chickens, farm fish, and grow fruits and vegetables. The community in Alderwood Manor grew in 1927 but crashed during the great depression when egg prices fell. The community was incorporated into Lynnwood city in the 1960's.
