Description
English: Flake 1: A light grey mottled semi-translucent secondary flint blade flake classed as debitage. Mid-gloss patina and an irregular pentagonal shape with a trapezoidal cross section. Cortex remains on one third of right side on the dorsal margin showing through on to the ventral face. The dorsal face shows the removal of three narrow parallel blades. The ventral face shows a prominent bulb of percussion indicating probable use of a hard hammer.

Date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age 3300 BC to 1600 BC

Dimensions: 48mm x 28.5mm x 6mm

Weight: 8.5g

Flake 2: A mid brown mottled semi-translucent secondary flint blade flake classed as debitage. A very small amount of cortex remains on half of right side dorsal margin. Mid-gloss patina and irregular in shape with a triangular cross section. There is a possible deliberate notch in the top right side of the dorsal face and multiple narrow blade removal scars. The ventral face shows a prominent bulb of percussion and conchoidal ripples indicating probable use of a hard hammer.

Dimensions: 46mm x 26mm x 5.5mm

Weight: 8g

Flake 3: A mid brown mottled semi-translucent tertiary flint blade flake classed as debitage. Mid-gloss patina and sub-oval in shape. The dorsal face shows removal of four narrow blade flakes. The ventral face shows a low bulb of percussion indicating probable use of a soft hammer and terminates at the distal end in a hinge fracture.

Date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age 3300 BC to 1600 BC

Dimensions: 29mm x 16mm x 4.5mm

Weight: 2.5g

Flake 4: A light beige semi-translucent tertiary flint blade flake with milky repatination and some iron staining. Low-gloss patina and sub-rectangular in shape with a trapezoidal cross section. The ventral face shows a low bulb of percussion indicating probable use of a soft hammer.

Date : Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age 3300 BC to 1600 BC

Dimensions: 21mm x 11mm x 2.5mm

Weight: 0.5g

Flake 5 : A mid brown mottled opaque tertiary flint flake. The dorsal face proximal end shows some edge crush. The ventral face shows a prominent bulb of percussion indicating probable use of a hard hammer.

Date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age 3300 BC to 1600 BC

Dimensions: 37mm x 22.5mm x 7.5mm

Weight: 4.5g

Flake 6: A mid brown semi-translucent tertiary flint blade flake. Mid-gloss patina and sub-rectangular in shape with a trapezoidal cross section. The ventral face shows no apparent bulb of percussion. The dorsal face shows multiple blade removal scars.

Date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age 3300 BC to 1600 BC

Dimensions: 28mm x 16mm x 5.5mm
