Notes Part of the Charles Ramsden Collection of Signed Bindings. Macchi states; L. G. Purgold (?1784-1829). Established by1810; included in 1816 Almanac at Dauphine 35; received a Medal of Honour in 1818; moved to Cassette 18 in 1821 and c1826 to rue du Roule 15. He was apparently associated with Hering, from about 1820 till 1825. His wife, Anne Thérèse Langlois, married Purgold's finisher Antoine Bauzonnet.
