Description

La façade du théâtre des Champs-Élysées à Paris

Pour les décors de la façade de marbre du théâtre, Antoine Bourdelle s'est inspiré du Parthénon. Il a créé - un frise en trois parties, avec au centre "Apollon et sa Méditation" et de part et d'autre les Neuf Muses - cinq bas-reliefs (métopes) représentant les arts du spectacle : la Tragédie, la Comédie, la Musique, la Danse, l'Architecture et la Sculpture. <a href="https://www.bourdelle.paris.fr/fr/oeuvre/apollon-et-les-muses-0" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.bourdelle.paris.fr/fr/oeuvre/apollon-et-les-muses-0</a>

Le Théâtre des Champs-Elysées est l’une des plus belles salles musicales de Paris. Inauguré en 1913 et signé des Frères Perret, il est le premier bâtiment public parisien à utiliser la technique du béton armé dans sa conception et construction. Son ouverture est liée au scandale de la création du Sacre de printemps de Stravinsky dans la chorégraphie de Nijinsky.
