Material - Bone Period - Around 17th century There are different bone objects that belong to the Lepcha Bong Gumpa Monastery. These bone objects were used earlier in the 17th century during prayer for different purposes. Some were used as musical instruments, named Kangling. They played the role of a flute and were played during prayers in the Gumpa. (as per museum label) |
