Description
English: Regarding arrival in New Orleans, looking for his regiment, how he accompanied Mrs. Meriwether Jeff Thompson, St. Charles Hotel, boarding houses, how he found his regiment, the possibility of getting the position of provost marshal for New Orleans, and Col. Webb's drinking. Dated April 28 but is actually Oct 28; second part dated April 29. is actually Oct 29.
