Description |
English: Part of the letter (1/2) the advisors of Shogun Tokugawa Isyoshi, Japan’s military ruler, wrote in reaction to the letter from the Dutch King William II. In his letter, the King advised the Shogun to relax the stringent isolation policy prevailing at the time.
