English: Thanks Eliot for obtaining accurate quotations sent from Oregon by his son, and states that he will put them away for future use. Sherman will not publish his manuscript and will file it away "for use after I am dead." Explains that his worldly affairs are adjusted so that his family and dependents will be all right, and explains that he has declined an invitation to preside in London at an American Exposition in the spring.
