Description
Français : Henri et Marguerite Duteil, originaires du Berry, sont montés à Lyon puis à Paris pour se mettre au service de familles de la bourgeoisie. Ils ont deux fils nés à Lyon : Félix, du 16 février 1887, et Marcel, du 6 juin 1888.

Marcel, qui s'est marié à Bourges en 1914, est mobilisé au 131e régiment d'infanterie et disparaît le 16 février 1915 dans l'Argonne.

Félix sert comme caporal au 289e régiment d'infanterie. Il entretient une intense correspondance avec ses parents qui se trouvent rue d'Assas à Paris et avec son épouse Berthe, qui lui a donné un fils, et qui voyage entre Le Blanc et la capitale. Félix disparaît un mois avant son frère le 12 janvier 1915 dans le secteur de Crouy. Ses parents le croient longtemps prisonniers et s'enquièrent de sa présence auprès de la Croix-Rouge et de compagnons de régiments captifs en Allemagne. Après l'armistice, ils doivent porter ce double deuil.
