Leucogaster rubescens Zeller & C.W. Dodge Image location: Bunker Hill, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Skamania, Washington, USA Bluing in the slice noted over about 15 minutes. No watery exudate was noticed at that time. I noticed it had developed when I checked on it about 4 hours later. Forest with primarily Doug fir and vine maple. Spores 9-10 × 11-12.5 microns, spiny-honeycomb-reticulate, really neat. Inamyloid. Peridium turns (more) red in KOH. Used references: Efren Cazares & California Mushooms Based on microscopic features: spores 9-10 x11-12.5 Based on chemical features: peridium (more) red in KOH
