Summary[edit]

Description Crews for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District continue levee seepage cutoff wall work along the American River near the Howe Avenue bridge in Sacramento, California, shown Nov. 6, 2014. The Corps built more than 20 miles of seepage walls into American River levees between 2000 and 2002, but work was set aside for later where complicated encroachments existed such as utilities, power lines and bridges.
