Description
Nederlands: Zowel in Vlaanderen als in Europa liggen nog heel wat stortplaatsen. Op veel van die stortplaatsen kwam een laag grond te liggen en zeverdwenen uit het geheugen van de mensen. Vaak kwamen er natuurgebieden op, maar ook huizen. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat Kessel-Lo deels op zo'n stortplaats is gebouwd? Maar... Peter Tom Jones, doctor in de industriële ecologie, raadt de overheid aan deze stortplaatsen dringend te saneren. Want het zijn vervuild - slecht voor het milieu én voor de klimaatopwarming. En het goeie is dat een sanering geen geld moet kosten maar kan opbrengen! Er valt namelijk zowel bouwmateriaal, een milieuvriendelijk cement en brandstof uit die oude stortplaatsen te halen. Enhanced Landfill Mining heet dat. Hoe dat mogelijk is komt je te weten door snel op de play-knop te klikken.
