Armed trees, spines straight; 3-9 leaflets in an imparipinnate leaf, coriaceous;Flowers 1 cm across, pale greenish yellow, in 5-8cm racemes, calyx 5, deciduous, corolla5 partite, disk short, stamens10 in serted round the disk, filaments slender, anthers oblong, ovary 5-6 celled, Fruit globose many seeded 1 celled berry with rough woody rind. Fruit is edible and delicious and nourishing. |
