The pictured statue is a 3 m high bronze cast, created by the Lithuanian sculptor Juozas Zikaras (1881-1944). The bronze sculpture was casted in Berlin and is contemporary located in Kaunas on the square before the Vytautas-The-Great-Museum. The inscriptions on the pedestal commemorate to the "...most important places and battles in Lithuania's struggle for freedom".
