Description
Deutsch: Diese Kapelle in Lochau (Vorarlberg, Österreich) wurde 1643 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. 1831 wird diese, anlässlich des Baues einer Straße entlang dem Bodenseeufer, Richtung Pfänder verlegt und neu errichtet. Die Kapelle war die letzte Station für die Menschen, die am dahinterliegenden Galgenhügel hingerichtet werden sollten und wird daher auch als: „Armensünderkapelle“, „Galgenkapelle“, „Büßerkapelle“, „Magdalena-Kapelle nach Magdalena der Büßerin“, genannt.
English: This chapel in Lochau (Vorarlberg, Austria) was first mentioned in 1643. In 1831, when a road was built along the shores of Lake Constance, it was relocated to Pfänder (mountain) and rebuilt. The chapel was the last stop for the people who were to be executed on the gallows hill behind it and is therefore also called: "Chapel of the poor", "Gallows Chapel", "Penitent Chapel", "Magdalena Chapel after Magdalena the Penitent".
Français : 1831, lorsqu'une route a été construite le long des rives du lac de Constance, a la chapelle à Lochau (Vorarlberg, Autriche) relocalisée à la Pfänder (montagne) et reconstruite. La chapelle était le dernier arrêt pour les personnes qui devaient être exécutées sur la colline de potence derrière elle et est donc aussi appelée: "Chapelle des pauvres", "Chapelle de potence", "Chapelle des pénitents", "Chapelle de Magdalena après Magdalena la pénitente ".
