Summary

[edit]
Description

"London's Red Telephone Box ? Certainly! " . The architect Sir John Soane RA designed this tomb for his wife and himself in the churchyard St Pancras Old Church, which is now Grade I listed. This mausoleum provided the inspiration for the design by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott of the iconic red telephone boxes of London. From little to large . . . as well as the telephone boxes, Sir Gilbert Scott also designed the magnificent St Pancras Station.
