English: The travertine fountain of Trüschel's Colony (Trüschels Kolonie) in Lübben, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Germany. The fountain is a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Brunnen der Siedlung Trüschels Kolonie an der Frankfurter Straße in Lübben, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Deutschland. Die Anlage geht auf den Fabrikanten Arthur Trüschel zurück, der sie 1918 bis 1922 als Heimstättensiedlung für die Fabrikarbeiter, vor allem für diejenigen, die als Invaliden aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg heimkehrten, bauen ließ. Auf dem zentralen Platz befindet sich der Springbrunnen aus Travertin, geschaffen von dem Bildhauer Bourbott. Den viereckigen Brunnensockel zieren vier kopfförmige Reliefs, drei davon als Wasserspeier gearbeitet. Jedes Gesicht stellt dabei ein Lebensalter – vom Jüngling über den jungen und gereiften Mann bis hin zum Greis – dar. Das Wasser sprudelt jedoch nur aus den Mündern der ersten drei Lebensstadien heraus. Nachdem die unter Denkmalschutz stehende Brunnenanlage gut 80 Jahre lang außer Funktion gewesen war, sprudelt das Wasser seit Abschluss einer umfassenden Sanierung im Jahr 2010 wieder. |
