Description
English:
Drinking well or ~In memory of our ancestors by Dávid Tóth (installed in 2016, limestone bronze). A national costume wearing girl (bronze statue) sitting on a limestone wine barrel and holding a modelboat/toyboat (a raft, a so-called Ulmer Schachtel). Its refer to: in around 1720 arrived the first German settlers to Kismaros and naighbourhood. Hungarian landlords seeking agricultural workers,-with 'Werbezettel' (advertisement/recruitment tickets),-settling in Hungarian territories. They were promised a land and a house. The registered migrants were collected in Ulm, from where they arrived in Hungary by raft boats (Ulmer Schachtel) on theDanube. - Located before 22 Kossuth Lajos Street (Highway 12), Kismaros, Pest County, Hungary.
