Description
Nederlands: Op het aan de onderkant versneden borduurfragment wordt de gebaarde en enigszins kalende apostel Paulus afgebeeld. Hij gaat gekleed in een onderkleed en mantel, welke deels over de rechterschouder hangt, deels onder de linkerarm wordt vastgeklemd evenals zijn attribuut, het zwaard. Hij houdt met beide handen een opengeslagen boek vast.

Techniek: het onderkleed, het gezicht en de handen zijn van floszijde in ingrijpsteek, het aureool, het zwaard en het boek van gelegd en met zijde gehecht gouddraad, de mantel van gelegd gouddraad gehecht in de lazuurtechniek.

Staat: het borduurwerk heeft een aantal losse gouddraden in de mantel, vooral rechts. De zijde vertoont enkele slijtplekken in het gelaat en de handen.
