Description
Nederlands: Grote Staat 7-11 in Maastricht tussen 1923 en 1930. Grote Staat 7 (links) was de eerste vestiging van Vroom & Dreesmann in Maastricht. Nadat eerst het linker buurpand nr. 5 (niet zichtbaar op de foto) was aangekocht, verwierf V&D in 1923 nr. 11 (rechts). De tussenliggende winkel van Pieters-Theuwen, met een monumentale Lodewijk XV-pui (tegenwoordig onderdeel van Stokstraat 17), werd in 1930 aangekocht, waarna in 1931-1933 de sloop van de oude panden en de nieuwbouw van het nog bestaande warenhuis van V&D kon plaatsvinden.
