Description
Nederlands: Reliekhouder van Maria Magdalena in de Schatkamer van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwebasiliek in Maastricht. De reliekhouder kwam omstreeks 1935 tot stand en maakt gebruik van een veel oudere cuppa van een kelk, wellicht uit de 15e eeuw. Deze cuppa behoorde wellicht bij het zilveren reliekbeeld van Maria Magdalena dat waarschijnlijk in 1535 tot stand kwam en dat in 1795 werd omgesmolten om aan de door de Fransen opgelegde oorlogsschatting te voldoen. De reliek zelf is waarschijnlijk afkomstig uit het Byzantijnse Maria-triptiekje. Een bewaard gebleven reliekenbriefje (schedula) dateert van omstreeks 1300.
