Italiano: La preparazione della carne di maiale per la produzione di salumi richiede un notevole uso di sale che, a seconda degli usi, deve essere di adeguata granulometria. Oggi l'industria mette a disposizione sale di svariate dimensioni fra le quali scegliere quella necessaria, ma un tempo non era così e ognuno doveva provvedere a macinarselo in proprio, partendo dal sale grosso con cristalli molto irregolari. Questo macinino rappresenta un bell'esempio di soluzione del problema, in quanto richiede uno sforzo limitato per preparare anche notevoli quantità di prodotto.
