Italiano: "Nell'Inventario della Villa del Poggio Imperiale del 1860 è così descritto : "un quadro in tela [...] nel quale a mezza figura vi è dipinta femmina c on i capelli ornati di perle...". La donna effigiata è Contessina de' Medi ci (1478-1515), figlia di Lorenzo il Magnifico e sposa di Pietro Ridolfi, qui raffiigurata in uno dei rarissimi ritratti conosciuti (cfr. Langedijk , 1981-1987, V. I, p. 381)" [1]
