| Description |
English: Ms. (watercolors, pencil, pen-and-ink) landownership map on printed base map showing hand-col. rev. property holdings in Spring Brook and Covington townships, Lackawanna County, Penna. (Lackawanna County was formed in 1878 from part of Luzerne County). Real property is shown on the original printed map by tract lines, tract numbers, and owners' names. There is no statement of attribution other than the printed lithographer's statement: Miller's Lith. Trinity Pl. N.Y. Sheet is imperfect: Use-worn, trimmed, fragile, halved at middle fold line. Includes extensive lead-pencil/ink handwritten revisions (the latest of which is dated 1871) to the original printed base map and hand col. areal revisions. The original printed map includes statistical data and index of original warrantees' names at bottom of sheet. Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image.
