Description
English: Detail of the Maquette of Maastricht. The scale model was made in 1974-1982. It is a genuine copy of the 18th-century original, made for King Louis XV of France, now in the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille). Usually only the central part is on display in Centre Céramique; once in five years the whole maquette is exhibited, as is the case here. In this sections several roads on the east bank of the river Meuse, outside the Akerpoort (Aachen Gate): 1. Heerderweg; 2. Scharnerweg; 3. Gronsvelderweg; 4. Heugemerweg.
