Installation faisant « un clin d'oeil au monument et à sa démesure » ! Art Souterrain, Zone 2 : Complexe Desjardins « Se perdre dans le décor fait référence au monument et à l’idée de la démesure. Jouant avec les codes de l’illusion, l’artiste présente aux passants une surface en plexiglas miroir sur laquelle une roche sera déposée. En observant la réflexion de cette roche, le spectateur a l’impression qu’elle est en lévitation dans l’espace environnant. Cette image surréaliste, clin d’œil ludique au peintre Magritte, emprunte les codes de l’espace urbain ainsi que ceux de l’imaginaire métaphorique, du voyage et du possible. Se perdre dans le décor refers to the monument and the idea of excess. Playing with the notion of illusion, the artist pres- ents to passersby a plexiglass mirror surface on which a rock will be laid. By observing the reflection of this rock, the spec- tator will be under the impression that it is levitating into the surrounding space.
