Notes | Mary Scudamore (née Shelton) (c. 1550 – 1603) was the second wife of Sir John Scudamore (d. 1623). Eleanor Scudamore (née Croft) was his first wife, who was buried 9 December 1569 at Holme Lacy. A later copy of this portrait embellished with the Pakington coat of arms misidentifies the sitter as Ursula Pakington (d. 1558), wife of Sir William Scudamore. [1] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
