Description
Français : Mariage du roi Léopold Ier de Belgique avec Louise d’Orléans, château de Compiègne (France), le 9 août 1832. — Léopold Ier avait-été une première fois marié à Charlotte de Galles, héritière du trône de Grande-Bretagne et d’Irlande. Il devint veuf un an plus tard, lorsque Charlotte mit au monde un enfant mort-né. Son deuxième mariage a lieu un an après sont avènement au trône de Belgique. Il épouse le 9 août 1832 une des filles de Louis-Philippe d’Orléans, roi des Français. Le mariage est célébré par l’archevêque de Cambrai dans la chapelle du château de Compiègne. Sur la gravure, derrière les mariés, on reconnaît le roi Louis-Philippe.
